Third Graders learned about the existing types of natural resources and how we find them in our context; they worked on a systemic thinking exercise in which they explored what happens to the number of trees in a forest over time as forester plants and harvests a certain number of trees each year. Playing the game, students experienced resource management and the need for long term planning. Finally, they committed to caring for natural forests, taking into account the importance of trees to maintain the balance of the environment.

Resumen: Los alumnos de 2º Grado aprendieron sobre los tipos de recursos naturales existentes y cómo los encontramos en nuestro contexto; trabajaron en un ejercicio de pensamiento sistémico en el que exploraron lo que sucede con la cantidad de árboles en un bosque a lo largo del tiempo cuando un silvicultor planta y cosecha una cierta cantidad de árboles cada año. Jugando el juego, los estudiantes experimentaron la gestión de recursos y la necesidad de una planificación a largo plazo. Finalmente se comprometieron con el cuidado de los bosques naturales teniendo en cuenta la importancia de los árboles para mantener el equilibrio del medio ambiente.
