En la clase de Matemáticas, nuestros estudiantes han estado aprendiendo a medir la longitud de objetos usando unidades no estándar.
Los estudiantes participaron en diferentes actividades que les permitieron poner en uso sus habilidades de lenguaje oral en inglés para describir atributos mensurables de objetos usando palabras de vocabulario como long, short, tall, small, longest, shortest, tallest and smaller.
En sus Prime Books y cuadernos, los estudiantes realizaron una variedad de ejercicios en los que tenían que medir objetos usando clips o bloques para escribir y colorear los números correspondientes para responder preguntas como: How many blocks long is the ______? Which is shorter, the crayon or the scissors?
También organizamos otras actividades que invitaban a nuestros estudiantes a ir más allá de lo esperado a través de juegos que implicaban clasificar objetos por su longitud y altura. Las siguientes son algunas fotos de las geniales actividades que realizamos en clase. ¡Esperamos que las disfruten!

Measuring Objects
In Math class, our students have been learning about measuring the length of objects using non-standard units.
The students participated in different activities that allowed them to practice their oral language skills in English to describe measurable attributes of objects using vocabulary words such as, long, short, tall, small, longest, shortest, tallest and smaller.
In their Prime Books and notebooks, students completed a variety of exercises in which they had to measure objects using clips or blocks to write and color the corresponding numbers to answer questions like: How many blocks long is the ______? Which is shorter, the crayon or the scissors?
We organized other activities that invited our students to go beyond the expected through games that involved sorting objects by their length and height. Here are some pictures of the great activities we did in class. Hope you enjoy!
