En el Rochester, siempre estamos buscando maneras de involucrar a nuestra comunidad de lectores, y una forma dinámica en la que nuestros estudiantes de segundo han ampliado sus hábitos de lectura ha sido a través de la divertida aplicación RAZ Kids. Durante todo el año, nuestros estudiantes han estado leyendo, grabando sus voces, haciendo quizzes y gestionando sus avatares con el contenido amplio, variado y de calidad que ofrece la plataforma, tanto en el colegio como en casa.
En abril, RAZ Kids no solo ayudó a nuestros estudiantes a mejorar su propia lectura, sino que también les permitió generar un impacto real en la vida de otros niños en situación de necesidad alrededor del mundo. A través de RAZ Kids y UNICEF, nuestros estudiantes pudieron convertir su lectura en agua potable, alimentos, útiles escolares — ¡incluso ayudar a construir una escuela!
Y lo hicieron. Estamos orgullosos de contar que nuestros estudiantes donaron 177.000 estrellas, con las que se ofrecieron 21 comidas, 110 días de agua, 7 kits escolares, y que 2 estudiantes incluso ayudaron a construir una escuela con sus mega donaciones, todo simplemente leyendo libros en la aplicación.
Felicitamos a todos los estudiantes de Segundo que hicieron un esfuerzo por ayudar a los demás, y esperamos verlos seguir creciendo como lectores comprometidos y ciudadanos globales.
Reading That Changes Lives

At Rochester, we’re always looking for ways to engage our community of readers, and one dynamic way our third grade students have broadened their reading habits is through the fun and motivating app, RAZ Kids. All year, our students have been reading, recording their voices, taking quizzes, and managing their avatars using the platform’s rich, varied, and high-quality content, both at school and at home.
In April, RAZ Kids not only helped our students improve their reading skills, but also empowered them to make a real difference in the lives of children in need around the world. Through RAZ Kids and UNICEF, our students were able to turn their reading into clean water, meals, school supplies — they could even help build a school!
And they did! We’re proud to share that our students donated 177,000 stars, which translated into 21 meals, 110 days of clean water, and 7 school supply kits — and 2 students even helped build a school with their mega-donations, simply by reading books in the app.
We congratulate all Third Grade students who made an effort to help others, and we look forward to watching them grow as engaged readers and global citizens.
