We feel very fortunate that José Daniel Rosero has accepted our invitation, and will soon make a visit to our school. The accomplished author will meet with our Kindergarten students as part of the term’s Library Class focus: “Learning about the life and works of an author.” To enjoy this visit to the maximum, we’re preparing by reading a number of his books: ¿Lo Ves? and Clarice era una Reina, both written and illustrated by our guest, as well as Las Mil y una Noches, written by Irene Vasco, but illustrated by José, as well as another text by Gloria Cecilia Díaz, Maia, that he has illustrated.
In class, students have shown themselves to be very curious and excited to learn all about not only his work but also his personal life.
Jose Daniel Rosero is a visual artist and professor at the Javeriana University of Bogota. As an illustrator, he’s produced several books and projects for different newspapers and magazines.
He’s also had his works exhibited at national and international galleries since 2005, and, if that weren’t enough, is also Director of the CASATINTA space, which is dedicated to illustration and other visual arts.
We invite those who wish to acquire the book, ¿LO VES? (DO YOU SEE IT?), in which the author addresses the human treatment of animals in order to reflect upon the importance of enjoying nature and relating to it with respect and care in order to avoid its extinction.
On the day of the visit, the author will sign each students’ books. Books will be available at the School Store.
El Escritor e Ilustrador José Daniel Rosero Muy Pronto en el Rochester

Nos sentimos muy afortunados de saber que José Daniel Rosero aceptó nuestra invitación y muy pronto estará en el colegio. El autor se reunirá con los estudiantes de Jardín, como parte del tema que estamos desarrollando este bimestre en la clase de biblioteca, “Conozco sobre la vida y obra de un autor”. Para disfrutar del encuentro nos estamos preparando leyendo varios de sus libros, ¿LO VES? Y CLARICE ERA UNA REINA, estos dos escritos e ilustrados por él, LAS MIL Y UNA NOCHES, escrito por Irene Vasco e ilustrado por José Rosero, MAIA, escrito por Gloria Cecilia Díaz, e ilustrado por José Rosero.
Los niños se muestran muy curiosos y emocionados conociéndolo tanto en su obra como en su vida personal.
José Daniel Rosero es artista visual y docente de la universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, como ilustrador ha realizado varios libros y proyectos para diferentes revistas y periódicos, también desde el año 2005 su obra ha sido expuesta en galerías nacionales e internacionales, actualmente es director del espacio CASATINTA, lugar dedicado a la ilustración y a las artes visuales.
Invitamos a los niños que deseen adquirir el libro ¿LO VES? En donde el autor aborda el trato de las personas con los animales con el fin de reflexionar sobre la importancia de disfrutar de la naturaleza y de relacionarse con respeto, cuidado y evitar la extinción de los mismos.
El día del encuentro el autor firmará a cada niño su libro. Los libros estarán a la venta en la tienda escolar.
