As stated in last week’s edition, the Grade Constitution represents a very important milestone at the beginning of our school year. Students and teachers of the same grade create a shared picture about expected behaviors and natural consequences. It is a very special moment to get to know each other and agree upon what will represent everyone as a group of students. We also agree upon a living space that represents the place where we can perceive all these behaviors and how they foster quality relationships. This year’s grade constitution was quite a challenge, as the process took place virtually. We invite you to take a look at some examples of different grade constitutions from 4th to 12th Grades and discuss how these behaviors are visible at home.
Resumen: Siguiendo con lo discutido en la edición pasada, las Constituciones de Grado son un producto muy importante al inicio de nuestro año escolar. Los estudiantes y profesores de cada grado acuerdan comportamientos esperados y algunas consecuencias naturales cuando no se da lo esperado. Es un momento muy especial para conocernos y acordar qué nos representa como grupo de estudiantes. También acordamos espacios físicos donde vemos todos estos comportamientos y cómo a partir de ellos se generan relaciones de calidad. Este año el proceso fue bastante retador al ser una actividad virtual. Los invitamos a ver algunos ejemplos de Tercero a Undécimo y conversar en familia acerca de la manera como se ven esos comportamientos en casa.
