Welcome back, dear students, teachers and parents. We are thrilled to start a new academic year and we are sure this will be a year we won’t ever forget, so let’s create great memories together!
Back in 1959, when our founders created Rochester School, they established seven values that will represent our community: Optimism, Gratefulness, Caring, Collaboration, Faith, Hope, Integrity and Respect. We display our values through the virtues; for instance, we show gratitude through kindness, leadership, integrity, self-evaluation, cooperation, integral health and systems citizenship. From this year on, we will focus on three values throughout the whole year and we will display them through the virtues in our actions and choices. As a community, we will talk and learn about three, out of seven, core values of our school: Optimism, Gratitude and Caring.
Let’s celebrate the beginning of a new year by recognizing the light in the dark, acknowledging each other’s efforts and success and enjoying our life and health. Let’s overcome together this challenging year with Optimism, Gratitude and Caring for others.
Resumen: Bienvenidos, queridos estudiantes, maestros y padres. Estamos encantados de comenzar un nuevo año académico y estamos seguros de que será un año que nunca olvidaremos, ¡vamos a crear grandes recuerdos juntos!
En 1959, cuando nuestras fundadoras crearon el Colegio Rochester, establecieron siete valores que representarán a nuestra comunidad: Optimismo, Agradecimiento, Bondad, Colaboración, Fe, Esperanza, Integridad y Respeto. Mostramos nuestros valores a través de las virtudes. Por ejemplo, mostramos gratitud a través de la amabilidad, el liderazgo, la integridad, la autoevaluación, la cooperación, la salud integral y la ciudadanía sistémica.
A partir de este año, nos centraremos en tres valores durante todo el año y los mostraremos a través de las virtudes en nuestras acciones y elecciones. Como comunidad, hablaremos y aprenderemos acerca de tres de los siete valores fundamentales de nuestro Colegio: Optimismo, Gratitud y Bondad.
Celebremos el comienzo de un nuevo año valorando la luz en la oscuridad, reconociendo los esfuerzos y el éxito de los demás, y disfrutando de nuestra vida y salud. Superemos juntos este año desafiante con Optimismo, Gratitud y Bondad.
