Pan Compartido: Trabajo en Equipo con Corazón y Solidaridad – Entrega de Abril de 2025

El equipo de Sostenibilidad del Colegio Rochester, en colaboración con la Fundación Educativa Rochester (FER), expresa su más sincero agradecimiento por las generosas contribuciones de la comunidad rochesteriana a la iniciativa Pan Compartido en el mes de Abril de 2025. Gracias a su apoyo, hemos logrado entregar 30 mercados que no solo buscan mejorar la alimentación de quienes los reciben, sino que también nutren la esperanza de las familias que enfrentan momentos difíciles. Cada aporte ha significado un acto de solidaridad que trasciende lo material y fortalece las relaciones de nuestra comunidad.

Este proyecto solidario tiene como objetivo mejorar la calidad de vida y garantizar la seguridad alimentaria de 23 familias de niños beneficiarios del Programa Inglés para Chía, pertenecientes a la Institución Educativa Oficial Fonquetá del municipio de Chía. Además, apoyamos a 7 colaboradores del Colegio Rochester quienes actualmente enfrentan necesidades particulares.

La entrega de los mercados se realizó el jueves, 24 de abril de 2025 y contó con la valiosa participación de los estudiantes de los Grados Tercero, Noveno y Undécimo. Más allá del acto de entrega, esta jornada fue un espacio de aprendizaje, empatía y acción, donde nuestros estudiantes se convirtieron en embajadores de solidaridad y conciencia social.

Esta fue la séptima entrega de mercados dentro del marco de Pan Compartido, una iniciativa que refleja nuestro compromiso con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), en especial el ODS #2 (Hambre Cero), que promueve la seguridad alimentaria, y el ODS #10 (Reducción de las desigualdades), que impulsa lograr sociedades más justas e inclusivas.

A toda la comunidad educativa: ¡gracias por creer y participar! Con cada mercado entregado, cada gesto solidario y cada esfuerzo conjunto, damos un paso más hacia un país más equitativo, menos indiferente y profundamente humano.

Shared Bread: Teamwork with Heart and Solidarity - April 2025 Delivery

The Rochester School Sustainability team in collaboration with the Rochester Educational Foundation (FER) express our sincere appreciation for the generous contributions of the Rochester community to the Shared Bread initiative in the month of April 2025. Thanks to your support, we have been able to deliver 30 food packages that not only seek to improve the nutrition of those who receive them, but also nourish the hope of families facing difficult times. Each contribution has meant an act of solidarity that transcends the material and strengthens relationships in our community.

This solidarity project aims to improve the standard of living and guarantee food security for 23 families of children who are beneficiaries of the English for Chía Program, belonging to the Fonquetá Official Educational Institution of the municipality of Chía. In addition, support is given to 7 collaborators of Rochester School who are currently facing particular needs.

The delivery of the food products took place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, with the valuable participation of the students of Fourth, Tenth and Twelfth Grades. Beyond the act of delivery, this day was a space for learning, empathy and action, where Rochester School students became ambassadors of solidarity and social awareness.

This was the seventh delivery of food markets within the framework of Shared Bread, an initiative that reflects our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG #2 (Zero Hunger), which promotes food security, and SDG #10 (Reduced Inequalities), which promotes fairer and more inclusive societies.

To the entire educational community: thank you for believing and participating! With every food product delivered, every gesture of solidarity and every joint effort, we take one more step towards a more equitable, less indifferent and deeply humane country.
