As the school year ends the students are completing the final unit of the Middle Ages curriculum. It has been a fun and exciting year with lots of great activities and plenty of fantastic assignment submissions from the 8th grade students.
To end the year the we have been finding out more about the French Revolution and how it is linked to the Enlightenment. During Middle Ages classes, we have been watching a History Channel documentary to see how the Revolution unfolded.
Throughout the documentary there have been discussions and questions, the main product of the unit will be a poster based on a section of the French Revolution that the learners found exciting or interesting. Students will also be answering a set of questions based on the documentary that was seen in class.
I would also like to take a moment to wish all of the 8th grade students good luck in the upcoming exams. I know you will all do your best and achieve what you set out to achieve.

Resumen:Al finalizar el año escolar, los alumnos están terminando la última unidad del plan de estudios de la Edad Media. Ha sido un año muy divertido y emocionante, con muchas actividades y muchos trabajos fantásticos de los alumnos de 7º Grado. Para terminar el año hemos estado averiguando más sobre la Revolución Francesa y cómo está vinculada a la Ilustración. Durante las clases de la Edad Media, hemos visto un documental de History Channel para ver cómo se desarrolló la Revolución. A lo largo del documental ha habido debates y preguntas, el producto principal de la unidad será un cartel basado en una sección de la Revolución Francesa que los alumnos hayan encontrado emocionante o interesante. Los alumnos también responderán a una serie de preguntas basadas en el documental que se ha visto en clase. También me gustaría aprovechar un momento para desear a todos los alumnos de 8º grado buena suerte en los próximos exámenes. Sé que todos darán lo mejor de sí mismos y conseguirán lo que se propongan.
