Developing Dynamic Balance – 3rd Grade – Physical Education

To achieve some of our 3rd Grade Physical Education learning expectations, we have included in the curriculum activities on wheels, and more precisely, those related to skating.  Through different exercises, students develop their dynamic balance and improve their general coordination by toning their leg muscles.

They have about 8 classes in a span of 4 weeks, during which those students who had never skated before manage to move on their skates maintaining a basic position and also improving their management of space.

The following images and videos correspond to the first and second classes.
